Yin Yang: symbolizes balance in nature between opposing forces, it is opposites interacting, interrelating with one another. The outer circle represents everything. The black and white shapes in the circle represent the interaction of two energies, called "yin" (black) and "yang" (white).
Chinese character for water: One of the five elements in Chinese philosophy. It is viewed as a life source therefore it is important for sustaining life, and holds great importance in the natural world.
Confucian symbol: Represents Confucianism, meaning righteousness and harmony with oneself, and others.
